Take me to Disneyland.

Disneyland.


When we went to Disneyland last April/May (which by the way doesn’t feel like that long ago) and we were told that THE time to go to Disneyland is right after the Holidays. Everyone goes back to school and work and the parks are empty. Then Katie decided she wanted to take the kids (Jack and Ella) to Disneyland sometime soon and we put two and two together and booked a trip to Disneyland for the beginning of January.


We flew out on Wednesday the 5th and came home on the 8th.


It was definitely not very empty but it was so much fun. My dad, mom, brother, sister-in-law, sisters, husband, nephew, and niece all came. It was a different trip than we’re used to but it was a perfect trip. We rode more kid rides, rode less adult rides, walked a little slower, and went home a little earlier. It was so fun to watch Ella and Jack love the place. Nate and I were the lucky ones to share a room with Katie and Ryan and in turn got our own personal wakeup call at 6:00a.m. every morning from sweet Miss Ella. She was far too cute to turn away. (When we got home on Sunday and we woke up, the first thing Nate said was, “I miss Ella”).


It was warm-ish. (60 degrees is A TON better than where we are… stupid snow). It was a perfect break from the world. We already went to go back. August anyone?


I love my family. I love that we can spend 4 days completely together, get home at 11:00 Saturday night, and still want to have Sunday dinner together the next day. I love that tonight’s plan is to go bowling with everyone. I love us.
